Bula’bula Arts’ core objective is to preserve and foster Yolngu culture by servicing its artist members in Ramingining and the surrounding outstations within the Arafura wetlands in North East Arnhem land.

Joy Burruna learnt to paint from her mother and father. She paints her inherited stories in a fresh and dynamic way that exudes her energy and strength of character; bold and colourful. Joy’s artworks allow us to glimpse the depths of cultural practice, knowledge and law in a visceral way.
