Yarliyil Arts is located in Halls Creek, and represents a number of Central Kimberley language groups, including Kidja, Jaru and Walmajarri.
The Art Centre supports culture through the maintenance, documentation and sharing of traditional cultural knowledge and activities, while providing employment and training opportunities for local Aboriginal people.
Janet Dreamer’s unique contemporary style and vibrant palette brings her artwork alive. Born in 1959 at Old Flora Valley Station, east of Halls Creek, her parents were Jaru; her mother from Billiluna and her father from Balgo. She paints about the landscape and bush tucker from her upbringing at Flora Valley.
